Indian finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and commerce minister Anand Sharma are among the top leaders from India at a meeting of the US-India CEO forum here on Thursday to forge an action plan to enhance bilateral trade and investment.

The first US-India homeland security dialogue began here today during which home minister P. Chidambaram and his American counterpart Janet Napolitano deliberated on issues like mutual assistance in probes like the Mumbai terror attacks and counter-terrorism.

Noting that working together to address the shared challenge of terrorism was a "strategic" priority for them, India and the US on Tuesday said the next week's security dialogue between the two countries will strengthen the cooperation.
