2 held for sexually abusing teen
Two youths were held for sexually abusing a school going teenager and then blackmailing him in Sowcarpet with video clips of the act on mobiles.
The sordid story came to light when the boy’s father, a businessman, started probing why money was going missing from his wallet occasionally.
“We arrested two youths aged 22 and 18 for forcing a boy into a homosexual act and subsequently blackmailing him. Over the years, the two had extracted nearly Rs 4 lakh from the school boy,” the police said.
The arrested duo were also sons of businessmen in the same neighbourhood, the police said, adding that Rs 2 lakh had been recovered from the two accused.
The father of the victim, a clothes merchant, lodged a complaint with the Elephant Gate police station, saying he had learnt from his son that two of his seniors had forced him into homosexual acts and had been extracting money after recording the act on their mobile phone.
The boy had been stealing money from home to give to the youth who had abused him. The 18-year-old accused had been extracting money for more than two years while the 22-year-old youth learnt about it a few months ago and also started blackmailing the schoolboy and collecting huge amounts from him.The victim alleged that his seniors had sexually abused him inside the school campus.
The police indicated that the boy was so frustrated that he had even planned to hire mercenaries to eliminate the accused. “However, his father had learnt of the sordid drama and lodged a complaint with us,” the police said.
