At dawn, sleepy actor hits cop, autos
Four persons, one of them a police inspector on a bike, were injured after a car driven by actor Suresh alias Sri Ranjan, 25, on Poonamalee high road in Kilpauk on Sunday morning hit them. The actor was reportedly sleepy on returning after a shoot, police said.
Suresh, who acted in Theni Mavattam, was driving on the Central railway station side, towards Purasawalkam, when he lost control and hit the inspector’s bike and two autorickshaws.
Inspector Anandan, his brother’s son Govardhanan and autorickshaw drivers Prabhudas and Munivel were injured.
Suresh was booked for rash driving and causing grievous hurt to others.
