Four students top CBSE class 12 exams in state
Four students have topped the state with a score of 490 marks in CBSE Class 12 examinations, the results of which was declared Monday morning.
Sanjay Ganapathy of Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram, Kilpauk, K. Rajalakshmi of Srimathi Sundaravalli Memorial School, Chromepet, M. Mukundram of Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar and R. Sudarshan of Modern Senior Secondary School, Nanganallur have secured 490 out of 500 marks.
Speaking to DC, K. Rajalakshmi said, “I expected this score and was extremely happy.” She has secured centum in Business Studies and Mathematics, 97 in English, 98 in Accounts and 95 in Economics. “She works hard and had always come first in class. She wants to become a Chartered Accountant,” her father J.K. Kumar said.
Another topper M. Mukundram said though he knew that he would get a good score, it was a big surprise when the results were out. “I want to join in a top college and pursue Computer Science Engineering or ECE,” informed Mukundram.
Right from his Class 8, Sudarshan had set his eyes on becoming a chartered accountant and worked hard to score good marks in board exams. “He used to be a class topper and we were sure he would secure good marks,” said his sister Vaishani. “I’m yet to decide on whether to do B.Com through correspondence or in regular as I’m doing C.A foundation now,” said Sudarshan.
While a centum in Biology is always considered an elusive score, Keerthana Suresh of National Public School, Chennai has secured a centum in the subject. She is a school topper with a score of 487 marks. She has secured 95 in English, 98 in Maths, 97 in Physics and Chemistry.
