Gear up for JEE April offline test
Those who aspire to join the Indian Institutes of Technology and other Centrally-funded institutions need to take offline examination for JEE (main) on April 7 and the computer-based test will commence thereafter in April. The CBSE which will conduct the examination said the date would be finalised soon.
In pursuance of MHRD’s directions and subsequent decision of the JEE apex board, JEE (main) and advanced, which will be known as AIEEE - Paper I, for admissions to B.E./B.Tech courses at NITs, IITs, Delhi Technological University and other Centrally-funded institutions in the country, will take place during April.
The JEE (main) exam will take place as offline and online computer-based test. The offline examination for JEE (main) will be held on April 7 and the CBT examinations will commence thereafter in April.
The merit list for admission to the premier institutions will be prepared by according 40 per cent weightage (suitably normalised) to class 12 board exam marks and 60 per cent to the performance in JEE (main) examination.
The JEE (main) exam will have one objective type question paper. The paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the paper will be three hours.
The paper II for admissions to B.Arch, B.Plan courses at the Centrally-funded institutions will have one question paper consisting of Mathematics, aptitude test and drawing test. For any clarification aspirants can send e-mail to jeemain2013@gmail.com.
