Man injured after gang hurls bomb

A history sheeter suffered serious injuries on his legs and neck after rival gang in Ennore hurled a country bomb at him while he was playing carrom at home on Sunday afternoon wit his two children.

According to the police, a gang of 8 men came in two share auto rickshaws to his house on 9th street at AS Nagar in Ennore and hurled bombs at the 28-year-old Dhanasekaran.

The gang had covered their faces with towels when they reached the scene to throw bombs at Dhanasekaran, the police said.

“We have specific information on the gang that hurled the bomb. We are hopeful of securing them soon,” the police said.

The injured man, who was later admitted to the hospital had been arrested by the police in connection with a murder case earlier.
