Three techies die in road mishaps

Three software professionals, including two woman, died in road mishaps on Rajiv Gandhi Salai and Velachery-Tambaram Road on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Ramaprabha, 27, of Kurunji Nagar, Perungudi, Nilofer Bhanu, 22 of Trissur, Kerala, and residing in a hostel and Sagath, 23 of Sholinganallur.

Ramaprabha, working in a software firm on OMR, was on her two-wheeler when she collided with a concrete mixer carrier at 2 pm on Thursday. Ramaprabha succumbed to injuries on Friday.

Nilofer Bhanu, working in another firm, was crossing the OMR when she was hit by a two-wheeler rider on Thursday. She also succumbed to injuries on Friday.

On the Velachery-Tambaram Road early on Friday morning, Sagath, of Andhra Pradesh, was killed when he was run over by a lorry.

Sagath was riding pillion with his roommate, Balaji, to Tambaram to meet a relative when his friend lost control and hit the median in Medavakkam.

Sagath was thrown off the vehicle and fell on the other side of the road. He was run over by a speeding lorry coming from the opposite side, the police said.Balaji has been admitted to a private hospital.
