TNPSC launches planner
For the first time in its history, the Tamil Nadu public service commission (TNPSC) has launched its annual planner for 2012-2013.
The planner would have details of all exam-related events including date of notification, date of examination, tentative time of publication of results, tentative schedule of interview and publication of annual results. Launching the planner in the city on Tuesday, TNPSC chairman R Nataraj said it spreads from April 2012 to March 2013.
He said it has been proposed to conduct the recruitment process for total estimated vacancies (approximately 8,500) received so far from various departments for different posts, starting from village administrative officer, to prestigious posts included in group I services.
“The main objective behind the introduction of the annual planner is to complete the recruitment process within a time-frame and furnish the list to the departments and units,” he explained.
According to the planner, the single-tier scheme of examination (written examination) should be completed in three months from the date of closing of notification. The planner aims to complete the two-tier scheme (written examination with interview) in six months from the date of closing of notification and the three-tier scheme (preliminary examination, main written examination with interview) within nine months from the date of closing of notification.
