UK varsity offers largest scholarship scheme

The Vellore Institute of Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Westminster, for joint research and exchange programmes.

The University of Westminster offers an array of over 300 courses, which include, architecture, biotechnology, communication, computer science, design, fashion, international business, journalism, law, management, multimedia and photographic studies.

The university has announced a new series of scholarships specifically for Indian students worth 1.5 lakh pounds, which will be the largest scholarship scheme in the UK, with extensive provisions designed to attract the best students from across the world. In keeping with its plans to build a stronger Indian presence, the university will significantly expand its Indian scholarship programme.

A distinct feature of these scholarships is that they are made on the condition that, on graduation, students should return to India to work.
