Delhi quartet seal final spots

The city witnessed a battle of minds in a game of blitz chess on Saturday in the Red Bull Battle for the Queen 2013- Delhi Qualifiers at Modern School, Vasant Vihar. A total of 120 chess enthusiasts engaged themselves in a mentally stimulating game of strategy and sportsmanship.

After several hours, four participants earned the right to compete against the winners of Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai legs at the national final scheduled for September 6 in Agra.
Sahil Tickoo, Sandeep Chitkara, Abir Sinha and Aishwin Daniel will represent Delhi in the national final, the winner of which will get an opportunity to challenge woman Grandmaster and Asian women’s chess champion Tania Sachdev.
