‘Land port’ at Wagah by 2011

Feb. 4: India will go ahead with the construction of the much-delayed integrated checkpost on the India-Pakistan border at Attari despite the continuing chill in relations.

In discussions to kickstart the venture, representatives of the Union ministry of home affairs and Amritsar district officials said an early completion date of the project has been set for April next year.
