1st ever Miss India Nepal pageant

Kathmandu: Vatsala Sharma has emerged the winner of the first ever Miss India Worldwide Nepal Pageant 2010.
The Nepalis Council had organised the event in Kathmandu on Saturday, to promote peace and friendship between India and Nepal and to support a charitable cause for children.

Twelve beautiful girls of Indian origin residing in Nepal participated in the event. Dr Poonam Rana, Kamala Shrestha, Baba Sarkar, Apoorva Srivastav and Ayusha Shrestha were judges during the contest. Aiman Khan was declared the first runner-up, while Mangolika Chakravarty became the second runner-up.     —PTI
