BSF jawan held in J&K teen killing

Srinagar, Feb. 10: A BSF jawan has been arrested by the local police in connection with the murder of a teenager in Srinagar last week. The accused, Lakhwinder Kumar, has been formally charged with murder. CM Omar Abdullah said he was relieved and

demanded the "severest" punishment for the trooper "who has snatched an innocent life".

However, the slain teenager’s father alleged the BSF jawan was a "scapegoat" and that the killer was a senior BSF officer.
