Daniels to cast Brit in King’s role

London: Oscar-nominated director Lee Daniels has hired a British actor, instead of an American, to play the role of Martin Luther King Jr in his civil rights movie Selma.

The Precious director is turning his attentions to the US civil rights movement of the 1960s, and will tell the story of the historic marches led by Luther King Jr in Selma, Atlanta, reported Daily Express.
He has opted for British TV actor David Oyelowo, whose main film credits are The Last King of Scotland and As You like It, to play the lead role.
Australian actor Hugh Jackman has been roped in to play state governor.

BBC anchor ready to read news naked
London: BBC One Breakfast presenter Sian Williams has offered to read news naked, if it will save her from paying tax.
The newsreader’s accountant Michael Weissbraun has claimed her clothes were a necessity of her job and should be exempt from tax. Weissbraun insists that £4,500 of clothes, laundry and hairdressing should be tax deductible.
He told a tax tribunal in Manchester that his client “does not need the clothes for warmth, as it is warm inside the studios.”
