Hindustan FC down Ahbab

New Delhi, Feb. 1: Musibau Adebyo scored twice to help last season’s joint champions Hindustan Club post a convincing 2-0 win over Ahbab FC and move to the top of the points table in the DSA senior division football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.

Hindustan Club earned three points with this win to take their tally to 20 points from eight games. Ahbab on the other hand have 10 points from eight matches.

Both sides were goalless at half-time with Ahbab managing to thwart some good moves by their rivals.

Adebyo struck in the 51st minute to put Hindustan FC ahead.

The Nigerian doubled the advantage as he went past rival defenders to seal the three points in the 81st minute.

Earlier, Youngmen S.C. settled for a goalless draw with Gorkha Heroes. Heroes now have 15 points from seven games while Youngmen have eight points form seven games.
