London: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart starrer The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been named the favourite film of 2009 by filmgoers. Nearly 50,000 film lovers voted for the Fandango Fan Choice Award at the upcoming ShoWest convention in Las Vegas, Contactmusic reported.
The sequel to Twilight, beat sci-fi blockbuster Avatar and eight other movies to claim the top prize at the cinema owners event, which starts later in March. The film, a romantic fantasy film based on Stephenie Meyer’s 2006 novel New Moon garnered 66 per cent of the total votes.     —PTI
