Robbers loot two petrol pumps
New Delhi, Feb. 1: Four miscreants looted two petrol pumps within a span of three hours and the police could not trace them even as the staff of the petrol pump where they struck first alerted the cops promptly after the incident. The robbers went ahead in their Maruti to loot another petrol pump. They looted Rs 1.3 lakhs from the two pumps.
The FIR lodged at the Sihani Gate police station states that four persons came to Shivam petrol pump around midnight in a Maruti 800. They rushed into the office and put a countrymade pistol on the head of Rajesh Kumar, an employee, and took away Rs 40,000.
In the meantime, a customer Deepak Tyagi, who has a business of cables in Ghaziabad, came to the petrol pump seeking petrol. "The employees asked him to leave. Even the robbers told him to leave saying that the pump is closed but, Tyagi persisted saying that he is a regular customer and will not leave without petrol. The miscreants then pulled him inside and took away Rs 10,000 he was carrying," said station house officer, Sihani Gate, Jagbir Malik.
The robbers then went towards Vijay Nagar where they looted Rs 80,000 from Sharma petrol pump. According to the complaint filed by the pump owner, four persons came in a white Maruti 800 around 3 am. "They entered the cabin and threatened to shoot if anyone resisted. They took Rs 80,000 from the cashier and fled," reads the complaint filed by Suresh Chand Sharma, the owner.
