Band: Sonic Weapon FenceRemember Trekkies, Star Trek nerds who’d speak in Klingon? No other TV show quite inspired that kind of fanaticism until… Lost. As Season 6 looms to muted hysteria, meet a very talented band, dedicated to making music about the show as fans. Formed in March 2008, the Chicago band, Sonic Weapon Fence comprises Patrick Ehlers (bass, vocals, keyboard), Pete Pfarr (drums, background vocals), Pete Snyder (guitar, vocals) and Jason Hetelle (guitar, background vocals).

The lyrics give you an idea. Start with their quick track, Intro, “We like Firefly, and Battlestar and Star Gate Atlantis. Dr. Who, Babylon Five, Heroes and Star Trek. But there’s just one show that makes me think “Hey, I should start a band!” Watch Lost, I think you’re gonna like it.” The song, That sucks Gary is laughingly dedicated to a character who gets sucked into a plane’s turbine engine in an early part of the series. Then there’s their take on why the character, Kate Austin in the series is allowed to get away with being very indecisive about love, Don’t let the jokey glibness fool you though, they are a tight band with clever tunes.
