Take a peek at fab trips

Ruzwana Bashir, a well-travelled youngster who studied at both Oxford and Harvard, has come up with a really cool travel site called Peek.com.

This is a must check out site if you are travelling to the US, London and Paris.
The site which is backed by the likes of Eric Schmidt of Google tells you how to have a fabulous holiday. Right from telling you what to do when it rains, what to do with kids, the off-beaten tracks waiting to be discovered, romantic getaways, fun things to learn on vacations (like cooking classes, DJ classes, paddle boarding lessons, indoor rock climbing, glow-in-the dark mini golf course in Vegas which comes with its own DJ...) to the regular where to eat, where to stay places, the site also lets you make bookings. Also, famous people like designers Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg, chef Wolfgang Puck... tell you their favourite pastimes and what they like to do.
The site shows you how to make even mundane things exciting. Check out how much fun sight-seeing can be in Miami, for example:

Helicopter tour
If you want to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Miami’s top sights, including its beautiful beaches, Peek.com tells you how to book a 30-minute chopper tour which will show you all the local landmarks, area beaches, celebrity homes, and other great Miami sights for $550.

Jet-ski tours
Disovering places by foot is really boring especially if you are a water baby. Why bother walking when you can zoom along the blue waters of the Biscayne Bay and see Miami in a whole new way on a guided jet ski tour, asks the site.
This tour will let you ride past celeb mansions on Star Island, and if you are lucky even show you dolphins on the way.
According to the site, “Tours are led by Coast Guard Certified guides who take you on the ride of your life. You also have the option to go it alone with a half-hour jet ski rental.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
