Agar top scores as No 11 on debut in Tests
London: Ashton Agar became the highest scorer on debut as a No 11 player in Test cricket during his knock of 69 not out (still batting) at lunch during the second day of the first Ashes Test between Australia and England here on Thursday.
Phillip Hughes was giving him company with an unbeaten 63 not out. The two came together when Australia was down and out at 119/7 and struck a partnership of unbeaten 110 runs to take the team's score to 229/9 at lunch.
Agar made 69 not out of 68 balls with 9 fours and two sixes.
