Farman Ahmed put in a solid all-round display (59 runs and 3/38) as Chand Khanna Club beat Delhi Audit by 52 runs in the DDCA Hot Weather cricket tournament.

Batting first, Ahmed and the other half centurions of the innings, Sourav Passi (57) and Kapil Saccher (52), helped their team raise a healthy 254/9 in 40 overs. Anil Bhatt (3/38) was the only bowler who had some impact on the Chand Khanna batsmen.
In reply, Pankaj Joshi (94) led the chase from the front but did not find enough support from the other end as the Auditmen were bowled out for 202 in 38.3 overs.
Ahmed and Vikram Dahiya (3/23) shared six wickets as they bowled a tight line during their spells to restrict the batsmen.
In another match, Pravesh Dahiya hit a quickfire 123 off 66 balls as Lala Ram Charan Club posted a seven-wicket win over Rajinder Nagar. Dahiya made a mockery of the Rajinder Nagar bowling, hitting ten boundaries and nine sixes during his knock.
Batting first, Rajinder Nagar were bowled out for 184 in 38 overs. Tarun (53) and Vishal (40) were the main contributors to the total. Sandeep (4/31) and Ashu Wasan (2/23) led from the front for the fielding side.
In reply, Dahiya took off from the beginning, hitting the ball all around the park. With his knock, Lala Ram Charan Club only needed 27 overs to reach the target for the loss of three wickets.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
