All-round RP Academy have it easy

Sachin Chechi’s 66 not out (40b, 3x4, 6x6) and Rahul Prasad’s 46 helped Ram Pal Academy beat Rohtak Road Gymkhana by seven wickets in the 38th Lala Raghubir Singh hot weather cricket tournament at the Modern School, Barakhamba Road, grounds on Thursday.

Chasing 165, Chechi and Prasad led the way as RP Academy overhauled the target in 20.3 overs.
Earlier, RP Academy bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals as RR Gymkhana were bowled out for 164 in 37.5 overs.
For RP Academy, Ajit Ranjan scalped three wickets, while Puneet Mehra and Kandwill Setty picked two each.
Scores: Rohtak Road Gymkhana 164 in 37.5 overs (Rahul Chaudhary 39, Shushil Khattri 28, Lakshay Thareja 24; Ajit Ranjan 3/29, Punit Mehra 2/42, Kandwill Setty 2/11) lost to RP Academy 167/3 in 20.3 overs (Sachin Chechi not out 66, Rahul Prasad 46; Abhishek Shaukeen 2/60).
