Baba Hari Das Academy clinch title
Fine knocks by man of the match Ajmer Singh (54 not out) and Nitish Rana (62) guided Baba Hari Das Academy to a three-wicket win over Telefunken Academy in the final of the Baba Hari Das Open cricket tournament at the Najafgarh ground in New Delhi on Saturday.
Put in to bat, Telefunken Academy posted 222/9 in 40 overs as Yogesh Nagar and Sunny Sehrawat came with identical scores of 45.
Vision Panchal (4/30) was the pick among the bowlers while Gurinder Singh and Pradeep Sangwan took two wickets each.
Chasing, Baba Hari Das Academy overhauled the target in 38.5 overs, courtesy Rana and Singh’s knocks.
Naveen Gehlot chipped in with 30. Ankit Dabas took two wickets for Telefunken Academy.
Rana was named best batsman while Panchal was the best bowler of the tournament.
