Bal Bhawan pip WDA in U-12 final
Man of the match Vivek Yadav’s all-round show helped Bal Bhawan School, Dwarka, beat West Delhi Academy by 23 runs in the final of the 5th Little Master Under-12 cricket tournament at the Hari Nagar sports complex in the capital on Monday.
Batting first, Bal Bhawan School posted 153/6. Yadav top-scored with 80, and was well supported by Shubham Shokeen, who added 39.
In reply, West Delhi Academy were bowled out for 130 in 27 overs, despite a half century from Rishabh.
Yadav, Yutish and Chirag picked up two wickets apiece for the winners.
Yadav was named the best batsman of the tournament, while Samay Batra (West Delhi Academy) was declared the best bowler.
The award for best all-rounder went to Shokeen.
Former Ranji player Sandeep Gupta handed over the prizes.
