Bangladesh off to a sound start
Ian Bell scored his third century against Bangladesh but Tamim Iqbal led a spirited fightback as the Tigers refused to yield on the second day of the second Test here at Old Trafford.
Bangladesh were 96/0 in reply to England’s first innings 419, a deficit of 323, at tea on Saturday and now needed just 124 more runs to avoid the follow-on. — AFP
Scores (at Tea): England 419 (Bell 128, Prior 93, Shakib 5/121) vs Bangladesh 96/0 (Tamim batting 65)
