Hyderabad: An engineering student who had made threatening calls to a hair clinic for showing cricketer

Virendar Sehawag with bald head in hoardings was arrested by the police here on Saturday.

The Sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force team apprehended Srinivas Deshmukh, an avid fan of Sehwag from Secunderabad on Saturday, Deputy Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy said.

The 20-year-old student, a native of Bidar district in Karnataka made threatening calls to Elite Hair

Studio which had displayed hoardings of Veerendra Sehwag, showing his photos with 'before' and 'after'

the treatment that leads to growth of hair on bald head, in different parts of Hyderabad, the DCP

said.

The hair studio had entered into a contract with Sehwag for using his photo in the advertisement.

However, Srinivas, a big fan of Sehwag, could not digest the advertisement and wanted the hair studio

to remove them.

"He made several threatening calls to Elite Hair Studio demanding to remove the advertisements. He also

called up the studio's head office in Delhi and threatened them to remove the hoardings and posters

immediately failing which he would bomb their studio," the DCP said.

Incidentally, in an another and unrelated case, Srinivas sent vulgar text messages to many girls, Reddy

said adding "In a span of three days Srinivas sent almost 600 vulgar messages to a girl."

Following a complaint, Srinivas was apprehended also for violating the provisions of IT Act and he was

handed over to Cyber Crime Police, the DCP said.
