Cal boys cricket kings
Jan. 10: Cal Public School reigned supreme, defeating St Andrews High School by eight wickets to win the final of the cricket event at the Deccan Chronicle Inter-Schools Sports meet held at the Indus World School in Secunderabad on Monday.
Batting first in this low-scoring clash, St Andrews folded up for 119 despite K.S.K. Chaitanya’s valiant knock of 54. For the bowling side, Vishal with 4 for 13 and Nitish (2 for 16) were the pick of the lot.
In reply, Cal Public School rode on Shashidhar’s unbeaten 68 to chase down the total. Shashidhar was well-supported by teammate Rahul who chipped in with a handy 24.
