Collage Group enter semis

UP Ranji player Mukul Dagar smashed a blistering 81 and Ravinder Kumar scalped 4/60 as Collage Group beat RP Academy by five wickets in the quarter-finals of the 37th Lala Raghubir Singh hot weather cricket tournament on Thursday.

Chasing 247, Collage Group overhauled the target in 39.3 overs. Besides Mukul — whose 58-ball knock was laced with eight fours and five hits over the fence — Rahul Dagar (46), Yashpal Singh (43), Pankaj Joshi (33) made useful contributions.
RP Academy had amassed 246/7, with Puneet Mehra hitting a 97-ball 76. Sachin Chechi also impressed with 68 but all their efforts went in vain as Collage Group got better of them.
In another match, a quick-fire century by man of the match Eklavya Diwedi helped Hargopal XI beat Rohtak Road Gymkhana by eight wickets.
Diwedi, who smashed 142 in just 68 balls, ensured that Hargopal XI reached the 218-run target in 24 overs. Jagrit Anand also shone with the bat with an unbeaten 56.
Earlier, Rohtak Road Gymkhana posted 217/8 in 40 overs. Saurabh Passi top-scored with 91.
For the winners, Manan Sharma (2/21) and Rohan Gupta (2/29) shared four wickets.
