Contract given to least bidder: HCA

Hyderabad, Oct. 27: With reference to a report published in these columns on October 25, the Hyderabad Cricket Association secretary clarifies that the cost of the project as quoted by the two suppliers at the tenders for tables to be hired during the India-New Zealand Test next month is Rs 1,14,000 and Rs 1,46,000 respectively and not Rs 30 lakh as mentioned. “In accordance with the rules, the contract has been awarded to the bidder who quoted the lesser amount,” HCA secretary D.S. Chalapathi said.
