Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore beat off stiff competition from Chennai Super Kings to snap up Abhinav Mithun for $260,000 against his base price of $100,000.
India's young pacer Jaidev Unadkat, starting with a modest base price of $50,000, was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for five times his base price at $250,000.
Manpreet Singh Gony, who was part of Chennai Super Kings, was snapped up by Deccan Chargers for $290,000 a big jump on his base price of $50,000.
Sahara Pune Warriors made their first purchase of the day when they got South Africa's 21-year-old all-rounder Wayne Parnell for $160,000.
Medium pacer Joginder Sharma was retained by Chennai Super Kings for $150,000.
Australian pacer Ben Hilfenhaus was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for his base price of $100,000, but fellow countryman Peter Siddle found no takers.
South African Juan Theron, who played for Kings XI Punjab last season, was also not taken by any of the franchises.
West Indies' pacer Kemar Roach and Sri Lankan Thilan Thushara were unsold.
