Deccan Chargers beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at the Uppal here Sunday.

Chasing a target of 133, Royal Challengers managed 123 for nine in 20 overs.

This has hugely helped Chennai Super Kings, who are on 19 points, to reach the playoffs.
