New Zealand captain Ross Taylor will move from Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Daredevils for the fifth edition of Indian Premier League.

Taylor represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first three seasons of the IPL, before being acquired by Rajasthan Royals in the 2011 Player Auction.

Delhi Daredevils Team Mentor T. A. Sekar said he was delighted with the latest acquisition.

"We all know what a quality player Ross is and we are happy that he will be with us this season. We are confident that we have a very competitive side and can have a good run in the coming edition of the Indian Premier League," Sekar said.

Sekar said the team's think-tank had worked hard to get together a strong batting line-up this season.

"Besides players like our captain Virender Sehwag and David Warner, we have added muscle to our batting by inducting Mahela Jayawardene, Kevin Pietersen and now Ross Taylor into our fold," he said. "Our fans can look forward to some explosive knocks."

"Ross Taylor was a pivotal member of the Rajasthan Royals in last year's IPL. We wish him all the best," Raghu Iyer, CEO, Jaipur IPL Cricket Pvt Ltd, commented.

IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said 10 players were traded in the two trading windows, with four trades occurring post the February 4 IPL Player Auction.

"The trading window has now closed. The next milestone is March 5, 2012, by which time the teams must finalise their squads," he said.
