Interim BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's alleged conflicts of interest will be probed after Champions Trophy tournament which is currently underway at Cardiff.
Mr Dalmiya said there would be no concealing of facts. “As far as the Dhoni issue is concerned, you all have seen it in the papers and so have I. Let it come out... at this juncture, when we are in the midst of the Champions Trophy, we are not going to earn anything by disturbing the atmosphere. But at the same time, we are not going to cover it up. Please wait and see,” he assured.
“The Raj Kundra issue will be discussed in the working committee, which is going to be held on June 10, and after we hear the details, if it demands any strict action, we will look into it,”Mr Dalmiya said. The IPL scandal has shown no signs of fading with more and more skeletons tumbling out of the cupboard, Mr Kundra’s alleged confession being the latest. On whether the BCCI would think of discontinuing IPL in the wake of the ever-growing list of scandals, Mr Dalmiya said, “There should not be any kind of thoughts that it would be shelved.” Mr Dalmiya said Sanjay Patel of the Baroda Cricket Association would be the new BCCI secretary in place of Sanjay Jagdale, who had resigned, while the post of treasurer would be shortly filled.
He added that no BCCI member would be part of the inquiry commission to probe allegations against Mr Meiyappan and CSK.
Both former Madras high court judges were members of the original panel, which also had Mr Jagdale as the third member.
Asked if the Royals could face termination as one of the owners had brought the league into disrepute, he said the board would wait till it had more evidence. “How can you come to a decision unless you look into it? How can we come to a conclusion? At this juncture, it has just started. We are just going ahead. You will have to wait,” he said.
Mr Dalmiya said the BCCI has received the interim report from its Anti-Corruption and Security unit chief Ravi Sawani. “The interim report has been submitted. Information has been sought from the Delhi and the Mumbai police. They have not provided anything yet. Once we receive it, we will share it with you,” he said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
