Gambhir to lead in one-dayers, Dhoni rested

New delhi, Nov. 20: Opener Gautam Gambhir will take over the reins of the one-day team with the selectors resting skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the squad announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India in Nagpur on Saturday. The 14-member team under Gambhir is for the first two games.

Besides Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh have also been rested while Zaheer Khan is yet to recover from injury.

Meanwhile, the selectors also named wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha and seamers Umesh Yadav and Jaidev Unadkat for the three-Test series in SA.
