Ganga, Muni Int’l to meet in key qualifier

Ganga International School carved out a 61-run victory on Wednesday over St Sophia’s School to set up a showdown with Muni International School in the final Group C game in the 1st Fast Trax Daredevils Schools Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament.

Ganga International’s total of 114/9 was set up by a half-century from Jatin Dalal before St Sophia’s School faltered in the chase. Abhishek Vats and Rohit Mehta claimed three wickets each.
Ravindra Public School defeated Government School (Bharat Nagar) by nine wickets with 14.4 overs to spare in a Group N league game.
However, Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School (Rajinder Nagar) will fancy their chances of taking the pre-quarter-final slot from this three-team group after their nine-run win over Ravindra Public School on Monday.
In Group O too, Salwan Public School (Old Rajinder Nagar) will be looking to beat St Michael’s in the final league game on Friday and complete the pre-quarterfinal line-up.
St Michal’s fought hard but could not stop Bal Bharati Public School (Dwarka) from stealing a one-wicket victory on Wednesday.

Group O: St Michael’s School 103/8 in 20 overs lost to Bal Bharati Public School (Dwarka) 104/9.
