Giles replaces Flower as England's ODI coach
Ashley Giles has been named head coach of England’s limited-overs cricket team, taking over from Andy Flower.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said Flower will remain as team director.
The ECB said the shakeup will “provide a more efficient and sustainable use of coaching resources.”
The statement said Flower will continue to tour with the England Test team but “will no longer be responsible for the day to day leadership of the England ODI and T20 sides.”
Giles will take charge of the side for next month’s limited-overs tour of India.
