Gurunath Meiyappan likely to be named accused in IPL spot fixing chargesheet
According to media reports, Chennai Super Kings team owner and son-in-law of BCCI chief in exile N Srinivasan, Gurunath Meiyappan is likely to be named accused in the IPL spot fixing chargesheet. The Mumbai police is likely to charge Meiyappan for cheating and betting.
Sources say that Pakistani umpire, Asad Rauf, will be named a wanted accused in the chargesheet.
Police said they have incriminating evidence against Meiyappan, including CCTV footage, records of telephonic conversation and documents used to obtain SIM cards for bookmakers.
