HCA men strike it rich
Sept. 29: As reported in this newspaper over two weeks ago, the the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday officially announced that Hyderabad will host the second India-New Zealand Test from November 12 to 16 this year.
The men from Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) scored big at the meeting held in Mumbai. Arshad Ayub, president of HCA will be part of BCCI’s cricket development committee. Shivlal Yadav, was retained as the vice-president of BCCI. E. Venkatram Reddy, HCA vice-president was drafted into the finance committee of BCCI. D.S. Chalapathi, secretary, HCA will be a member of BCCI’s marketing committee while S. Venkateshwaran, HCA joint secretary will be part of the museum committee.
Vanka Pratap, former Hyderabad Ranji player has been inducted into All-India junior selection committee. Vidya Yadav will be part of the women’s committee while Savita Nirala will be member of the All-India women’s selection committee.
