I hope to play for India in 2015 World Cup, says Sreesanth
Kochi: Tainted cricketer Sreesanth said that he hoped to don the Indian jersey in the 2015 World Cup that is scheduled to held in Australia and New Zealand. The pacer, who is out on bail said that he would give everything he had to make it to the Indian 2015 World Cup team.
“To play is my ultimate goal. I wanted to play in the South African series which looks doubtful now. But I would really want to play in the 2015 world cup,” said Sreesanth.
Sreesanth reiterated that he was innocent, but refrained from blaming anyone. He insisted on his eagerness to start playing at the earliest.
The speedster hardly appeared the intimidating kind he often was in the field. Instead he was thankful to everyone, including the BCCI and his teammates.
“I am thankful to Rajasthan Royals, the BCCI, and Kerala Cricket Association, my family, friends and even the media. I think everybody is doing their duty, so I have no complaints,” he said.
His friends in Kerala cricket Sony Cheruvathur, Raiphy Vincent Gomez and coach Biju George visited him along with Kerala Cricket Association representatives at the residence of his brotherin-law Madhu Balakrishnan in Tripunithura near here, where he arrived straight from the airport.
