Indians will come hard at us, says Taylor
Dambulla, Aug. 24: Coming into the tournament as underdogs has helped New Zealand focus better on their cricket. The pressure clearly is off as they take on better-favoured India.
Training as hard as ever and laying stress on basics, New Zealand looked in good shape for the virtual semi-final. Skipper Ross Taylor clearly thinks the onus is on their opponents.
Speaking about the game, Taylor said: “I think it almost makes them dangerous. They didn’t play that well against us in the first game, and then they came back well in the next. Obviously they didn’t play as well as they would have liked to play against Sri Lanka in the last match.”
Asked to spot a weak link, Taylor said he could not find any. “I would not say there is any weak link. Every top-order has struggled here. I guess batsmen are under pressure in these conditions,” he said.
