Irani trophy: Dominant Rest brook no stopping
Ranji champions Rajasthan showed fleeting glimpses of their steely stuff before they âranâ out of steam crashing to an innings and 79-run defeat against a dominant Rest of India (RoI) on the penultimate day of the Irani Cup contest, here on Monday.
Rajasthan skipper Hrishikesh Kanitkar (73, 151b, 10x4) and No. 4 Robin Bist (67, 105b, 10x4) took the fight to the opponent camp but three run-outs, that Kanitkar later termed as âboth tragic and comicâ, ensured that the Cheteshwar Pujara-led RoI lifted the trophy.
