Khader gives Yellow the blues; Ratan bags five

It was M.A. Khader all the way as his 7 for 40 helped Blues blast past Yellow by 169 runs in the HCA Zonal three-day cricket match played in Hyderabad. Batting first, Blue made 260 and in reply, they were wrecked by Khader’s lethal spell. Khader was well-supported by teammate Ashwin Yadav who took three wickets while conceding 40 runs. For the losing side, Sandilya played a fighting knock of 47.

In another match, Red scored 274 in their clash against Green. Red rode on Aaron Paul’s gritty innings of 93. Aaron received good support from Benjamin Thomas and Paramveer Singh, both contributing 56 runs each to the team’s total.

For the bowling side, Akash Bhandari was the pick of the lot, scalping three wickets while giving away 57 runs.

In a HCA Zonal two-day league encounter, Red scored a comfortable six-wicket win over Green. Batting first, Green made 252 with top-knocks from Sharath Mudiraj (79) and Rohit Rayudu (51). Rohan Yadav with 4 for 59 and Vishwajeet with 3 for 60 were the main destroyers. In reply, Red made 256 for 4 with Ravi Teja Reddy (61) and Himalay Agarwal (65) being the leading contributors.

In another match, Yellow were bowled out for a modest 213 in their encounter against Blue. Batting first, Yellow were wrecked by Ratan Sharma’s 5 for 31. Srikanth (41) and Avinash (47) were the leading scorers for Yellow side. In reply, Blue were 68 without loss with Ashrith unbeaten on 47.
