Khatri, Gupta star in team’s close win

Man of the match Sumit Khatri (72) and Arjun Gupta (62) starred in NK Khanna Club’s two-run win over Kranti Star in the DDCA hot weather cricket tournament in the capital on Monday.

Batting first, NK Khanna Club posted 238/8 in 40 overs as Khatri and Gupta added a bulk of the runs. Aditya Kaushik chipped in with 35.
In reply, Siddharth Sharma (110) led the charge but could not see Kranti Star through as they were bowled out for 236 in 40 overs.
In another match, a fine century by Joginder Singh led Delhi Wonders to a four-wicket win over PMG.
Chasing 244 to win, Delhi Wonders overhauled the target in 39.3 overs. Earlier, PMG scored 243/6 in 40 overs, largely thanks to Abhimanyu Iswaran (98).
In the last match of the day, Rahul Dahiya struck 109 as SB Youth beat NSCC by 13 runs.
