Lalithmohan Red hot; Akash hits a century
Lalithmohan’s lethal spell of 5 for 75 helped Red score a 26-run win over Green in the HCA Zonal three-day cricket match played in Hyderabad.
Batting first, Red made 274. In reply, they restricted Green to 248 despite a fighting 131 by Akash Bhandari who kept the hopes of the team alive. He was well-supported by Parth Jhalla who scored 38. For the winning side, Lalithmohan was the chief destroyer.
In a low-scoring encounter, Yellow pipped Blue by two wickets. Batting first, Blue made 132 for 8 with Minash Gabriel top-scoring with an unbeaten 38. In reply, Yellow made heavy weather of the modest target before scoring 133 for 8. M.P. Arjun and Alfred Absolem led the way for the winners, scoring 30 each.
In a HCA Zonal two-day clash, Blue defeated Yellow by six wickets. Batting first, Yellow were restricted to 213, courtesy Ratan Sharma’s 5 for 31. For the batting side, Avinash (47), Srikanth (41) and S. Venkatesh (39) were the chief contributors.
In reply, Blue made 214 for 4 with Ashrith top-scoring with 77. He was well-supported by teammate Vinay Goud who chipped in with 43.
