Light rain in Mohali ahead of India-Pakistan match
Just hours before the start of the crucial India-Pakistan cricket World Cup semifinal, light rain lashed Chandigarh and nearby Mohali late on Tuesday evening.
The showers were accompanied by thunder and strong winds.
India and Pakistan play each other at Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali in a day-night encounter on Wednesday.
Earlier, the weatherman had predicted that rain could play spoilsport in Wednesday's high-voltage match.
"Partly cloudy sky will prevail over in the Mohali region on Wednesday. Thunderstorms and dust-storms along with light rain, by the evening, could also prevail in various parts of this region on tomorrow," a Met official had told IANS.
