Manoj scalps 3 as Chand Club triumph
Impressive bowling by Manoj Chouhan (3/26) and Amir Beg’s 39 helped Chand Khanna Club beat DDA by four wickets and pick up four points in a DDCA Super League cricket tournament on Thursday.
Chasing 141, Chand Khanna Club reached the target in 29 overs. Besides Beg, Naman Sharma chipped in 26.
Earlier, DDA posted 140/7 in 30 overs with Shivam Sharma top-scoring with 57.
In another match, Devender Kharab smashed an unbeaten 84 while Siddharth Sharma scored am unbeaten 53 as Kranti Star beat Rehman Club by nine wickets to secure four points.
Kharab and Sharma helped his side overhauled the 163-run target in 25 overs.
Batting first, Rehman Club were bowled out for 162 in 33 overs, Harender Sharma top-scoring with 52.
For Kranti Star, Amanjeet Singh (3/26) and Prakash Negi (3/24) shared six wickets.
Meanwhile, NSCC rode on Amit Verma’s 113 to beat Subhania Club by four wickets.
Verma single-handedly withstood Subhania Club bowlers as NSSC overhauled the 212-run target in 34 overs while Gourav Gupta chipped in 32 runs for the team.
Subhania Club had posted 211/6 in 35 overs, Kartik Abhi top-scoring with 46.
