Meet the player: Irfan Pathan
Nickname: Guddu, Irfu
Best memories on a cricket field: There are four — getting a Test cap against Australia in Adelaide, scalping my first Test wicket, taking a hat-trick against Pakistan and being man of the match in the 2007 world T20 championships final in Johannesburg.
Worst habit: Sometime, my room can be untidy!
One thing that you can always beat Yusuf at: In talking!
A talent that you possess: I am a good table tennis player, and I can sing well. If I learn, I can be a good singer.
A sport you would pay to watch: I would love to go back into the past, and see Muhammad Ali’s fights in his prime.
What if not a cricketer? My mother wanted me to be a doctor or a priest. I don’t think I would have been good at any of those! I always wanted to play cricket.
Craziest thing you have ever done: As kids, we used to run around chasing kites. There was a 40-foot high wall, and only two feet in width. I used to run on that stretch hunting for a kite, without worrying if we would fall or even die.
