‘No chance of playing Pak at neutral venue’
IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla on Sunday said that the BCCI was not against Pakistan players as yet another IPL auction went away without the involvement of the neighbours.
Speaking at the end of the auction, Shukla said, “We are not against Pakistanis. We have coaches and umpires participating in the IPL and there is no problem at all. But, we will discuss the involvement of Pakistan players in the next full-fledged auction with the franchises. We haven’t made up our mind.”
Shukla also ruled out the possibility of India playing Pakistan at a neutral venue. “And given the current circumstances we have to wait and see whether the government will give clearance to host Pakistan in the near future,” he said.
