Players and cheerleaders of Deccan Chargers let their hair down at AP Tourism beach hangout, Vihar, on the outskirts of Vizag.

The cricketers were seen chatting with guests like Vizag collector Lav Agarwal, joint collector Girija Shankar and DIG Soumya Mishra, while watching the inaugural IPL-5 match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on a big screen.

The management hosted the party at Rushikonda hills on Wednesday night, so that the players would be relaxed before their two matches here.

They had been through rigorous practice sessions at the ACA-VDCA ground, as well as at the local fitness centre since their arrival to the port city on April 2.

East Coat Railway Waltair divisional manager, Kasinath, and Srikakulam collector, Venkatram Reddy joined the party late.

Australian cricketer Daniel Harris said “It’s a lovely place to wine and dine at, by the beautiful bay on a dark night.” Vizag men Sneha Kishore and Achuta Rao were also seen comfortably seated and looking very calm.
