PCB welcomes day-night test matches
Pakistan's cricket board says day-night test matches could increase television revenue by being broadcast live during prime time.
After Cricket Australia, the PCB is the second full member of the International Cricket Council to back the prospect of day-night test matches.
The ICC announced on Monday that test-playing nations can now agree to play day-night test matches after agreeing on the color and type of the ball to be used.
Last year, the PCB organized a day-night final for its domestic four-day tournament, using an orange-colored ball.
The PCB welcomed the idea of playing tests in the day-night format, saying in a statement on Thursday that it "will increase the product value of these matches for the host boards."
